FAQs

What are Stories by Mail?

Stories by Mail is a collection of fictional survival stories delivered through physical mailings. Each story unfolds through journals, letters, and found pages.

How many mailings are included in a story?

Each story is delivered across six mailings, which together form one complete narrative.

Do I receive everything at once?

No. Stories are designed to unfold gradually. Each mailing builds on the last, allowing the narrative to emerge over time.

When does my order ship?

Your selected ship date determines when your first mailing goes out. Billing occurs at checkout to reserve your place in the upcoming mailing schedule.

Mailings ship on the 1st and 3rd Fridays. Choosing a later ship date simply delays your first mailing — it doesn’t change the regular rhythm once shipping begins.

Shipping cutoff:

Orders placed by Wednesday at 11:59 PM Pacific before a scheduled 1st or 3rd Friday will ship that week. Orders placed after the cutoff will ship with the next available mailing.

Where do you ship?

At this time, Evermore stories ship within the United States while we prepare to expand to additional destinations. We look forward to carrying our stories farther soon.

Is this a subscription?

The Stories by Mail Collection is offered as a 12-month subscription with the option to prepay upfront or pay monthly. It does not automatically renew.

Individual stories are also available as standalone purchases and are not part of a subscription.

How do I manage my subscription?

Subscribers can manage or cancel their subscription at any time through the portal (link included in your confirmation email).

From there, you can:

  • Update billing information

  • Change your shipping address

  • Cancel your subscription

Changes apply to future mailings that have not yet shipped.

Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?

Yes. All customers can view their order history and shipping details through their Evermore account.

If you have a subscription, update your address through your subscription portal before your next scheduled ship date (the 1st or 3rd Friday).

Once a mailing has shipped, we’re unable to reroute it. If you have questions, contact us and we’ll gladly assist however we can.

What happens if my package is returned to sender?

If a mailing is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, we’ll contact you once it arrives back to us.

Additional postage may be required to resend the mailing. To avoid delays or added fees, please ensure your shipping information is accurate before each scheduled ship date.

How do I request a refund?

To request a refund, please contact us at support@evermorestory.com with your order number and a brief note.

Refund eligibility depends on the type of purchase and whether a mailing has already shipped. Once a mailing has been sent, it is considered fulfilled. Full details are outlined in our Refund Policy.

If you have questions, please reach out.

Can I send a story as a gift?

Yes. Both the Stories by Mail collection and individual stories make thoughtful gifts.

To send a gift, select “Is this a gift” on the product page and include a message if you’d like. Your note will be included with the first mailing.

Receipts and pricing details are not included in the shipment.

Orders ship to one address per order. If you’re sending gifts to multiple recipients, please place a separate order for each address.

What are Narrator Reveals?

Narrator Reveals offer insight into the voice that recorded the story you’ve just completed. Each reveal arrives with the sixth mailing and is meant to be opened only after the final page.

They’re not designed to explain events or resolve lingering questions — but to offer quiet context to the presence that carried the story.

Do you use AI in the creation of these stories?

These stories are written and curated by a human author.

AI tools may be used in collaborative ways during the creative process—similar to research and editing tools—but every story is shaped, refined, and finalized by hand.

The focus is the finished experience: the physical pages, the pacing, and the way the story unfolds over time.

Are these stories appropriate for all ages?

These stories are written for adult and young adult readers and may explore themes of survival, loss, and moral complexity.
